WhatsApp Business has prepared another feature for users. The messenger application aimed at professional use will allow you to rename the devices connected to your account, in versions for Android and iOS.

At first, they imagined that the feature would be linked to the premium subscription plan – which will also have the ability to connect to up to 10 devices. However, this possibility of renaming the device will be available to all users.

Once you access your WhatsApp Business profile, you can rename the location where you are logged in via the Settings menu, under the Connected Devices > Device Name path.

The functionality – which will not reach accounts in the standard mode – will be important for companies to understand who a particular device belongs to. However, custom names will not be shown to customers.

The device name change was even deployed to beta users of the corporate messenger, in version 2.22.13.7. There is still no set date, but it should reach the stable channel to everyone in the coming weeks.

WhatsApp Business is available for Android and iOS through their respective official stores. The download can be done through the links in the card below the text.
